State capital shivers as clouds disappear

BHOPAL : The state capital continued to shiver on Wednesday. Night temperature plummeted by 4.5°C while day temperature soared nominally.

However, day temperatures were still reeling much below normal all over the state. Shivpuri recorded 5°C which was the lowest temperature in the state. Pachmarhi recorded night temperature of 6°C.

Rain also lashed various places in the last 24 hours. Sidhi recorded 3cm, Rewa, Hanumana, Narsingpur and Satna recorded 2cm each and Panna recorded 1cm rainfall in the last 24 hours.

Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 19.6°C which was 5°C below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 10°C which was normal.

On Tuesday, the day temperature was 18.7°C and night temperature was 14.5°C.

It showed that day temperature soared nominally and night temperature reduced by 4.5°C.

As per the meteorological department, rain and thundershower are likely to occur at a few places over Sagar, Shahdol, Rewa divisions and at isolated places over Chambal, Gwalior, Jabalpur divisions and Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar, Vidisha, Raisen and Hoshangabad districts.

Chance of hailstorm is likely to occur at isolated places during the next 24 hours at Rewa divisions, Umaria, Shahdol districts. Cold Day and foggy condition at isolated places likely to occur over Chamal, Rewa divisions and Gwalior, Datia, Shivpuri, Tikamgarh, Chhattapur and Panna district. Cold wave condition is likely to prevail during next 24 hours at isolated places over West MP.
