Chhatarpur: Freedom fighter of Bundelkhand, Pratap Singh ‘Nanhe’ has said that descendants of freedom fighters should be accorded status of special citizens besides felicitating them on Independence Day.

Pratap Singh was addressing a felicitation program on the occasion of anniversary of Quit India Movement organised by Ganeshshankar Vidyarthi Press Club. Pratap Singh said, government of India should felicitate the Gansehshankar Vidyarthi press Club for its commendable work for preservation of culture and social traditions. Local MLA Manvendra Singh Bhanwaraja also lauded the efforts of Press Club and its members. Naugaon municipal president Abhilasha Dhirendra Shivhare, SDM (revenue) SL Prajapati, academician Ramashankar Mishra, Dr JS Parmar and other eminent personalities were present on the occasion. A cake was cut to celebrate the 86th birthday of MLA Manvendra Singh.
