Katani : District police superintendent (SP) Rajesh Hingankar organised a public contact programme at village Dhimarkhera police station near here on Thursday. The programme was organised as per the instructions of Bhopal Range IG. During the programme, SP Hingankar held discussion with local villagers and heard their grievances.
On the occasion SP informed the villagers that every police station is divided in various beats and the beat in-charge will be the S-I of ASI rank official. Every beat will consist four teams and each team will have two employees. Means, every beat will have eight police employees. Every beat will be provided a motorcycle, SP said.
SP Hingankar said that the beat system is being executed with the aim to increase public faith in the police. The police will present 24-hours amidst the people and people can inform the beat officials and employees about their problems. SP said that it would be easy to collect the information through the beat system. During the programme, along with SP Rajesh Hingankar, police station in-charge Dhimarkhera Shaikh Riyaz and other local dignitaries and other police station staff were also present.
