Nagda: For giving better services the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Distribution Company, will provide bill related information to the customers through SMS.
The company already has taken all the steps required for starting up the services and more than 8000 customers would get the information with regards to their electricity bills through SMS. As of the now the company distributes physical bills informing the customers about the electricity that they have used, the cost of electricity that they need to pay and tells them about the date on which the bills have to be paid.
Online facility for bill payment
A facility to pay the electricity bills on an online basis also has been started by the company, through which the customers would be able to pay the bills online and will be relieved from standing in long queues. The customers also would not be required to shell any extra money for payment of bills.
Would need the original bill to pay in counters
The SMS service although would enable the customers to let them know about the amount they have to pay, but they would have to come along with the original bill to pay them at the counters. The receipts would be paid to the customers only after this is done.
