BHOPAL: Union minister Uma Bharati, addressing a press conference on Sunday, said it would be shocking if Ram Mandir could not be built with Narendra Modi as Prime Minister and Yogi Adityanath as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
She said it was a surprise that temple could not be built with these two leaders in power. She said the temple could not be built by law but only by consensus. She said work should be done in this direction.
Uma said they had no interest in ousting the government in the state and they had nothing to do with the internal tussle within the state Congress. She said we do not interfere in any matter of Congress. Union minister said we would oppose if the government stopped welfare works. If the government is diverted from issues of public interest then we would severely protest. Uma said all governments discontinue schemes launched by previous governments but works of public interest should not be stopped. Commenting on the dispute over the movie, The Accidental Prime Minister, she said nobody had protested when the book was published but now opposition was taking place following the fear of getting exposed.
