Avoids campaigning for KP Singh, Govind Singh, Jitu Patwari

BHOPAL: The reality of the rallies being held by the Congress in the state to display unity and coordination among its top leaders is coming to the fore.

Scindia skirts constituencies of Diggi men

Union minister of state for energy ( independent charge) and Madhya Pradesh Election Campaign Committee president, Jyotiraditya Scindia has refused to address public meetings in support of the party candidates, who are said to be close to former chief minister Digvijay Singh.

Scindia is campaigning in support of the candidates who are either his followers, or the supporters of Union minister Kamalnath and senior leader Suresh Pachauri. Scindia is also not going to campaign in favour of candidates who have got ticket, courtesy state president Kantilal Bhuria and leader of opposition Ajay Singh.

Scindia did not go to Lahar, which is constituency of Govind Singh and Picchore, which is constituency of KP Singh. Not only this, he went to address meetings in support of two candidates in Datia district on Wednesday but maintained distance from campaigning in support of Ghanshyam Singh, who is a follower of Digvijay Singh, contesting elections from Sevda in the same district.

The schedule of Scindia’s election campaigning up to November 17, excludes the areas from where the followers of Digvijay Singh are contesting elections.

Scindia in his tour of Malwa, will not go in the areas of Jitu Patwari contesting from Rau, Nandkishore Patel from Neemuch and Subhash Sojatia from Garoth.

Scindia will address two meetings in support of Govind Rajput in Surkhi of Sagar district but will not go in the areas of Arunodaya Chaubey contesting from Khurai and Narayan Prajapati from Banda. Scindia in his tour of Raisen district, will not go to Udaipura from where Narayan Singh Rajput is contesting elections, who is again a follower of Digvijay Singh.

Same applies in the areas of the followers of Bhuria in Jhabua and Ajay Singh in Vindhya region. The differences between Scindia and Digvijay Singh came to the fore during ticket distribution.

Scindia, annoyed over ticket allotment, has decided not to include the areas in his tour itinerary, from where his followers are not contesting the elections.
