BHOPAL: The children of police personnel will get now get more money for higher education. The students of IITs and other professional courses will get Rs 2 lakh per year.
ADG, GR Meena informed Free Press that the students who are selected in IITs, MBBS courses, IIMs, NLIUs and NITs will get Rs 2 lakh per year. Earlier they used to get Rs 1.50 lakh per year.
For completing graduation, they will get Rs 6,000 in place of Rs 5,000. The amount in PG courses has also been increased.
The students who will score above 95 percent will get Rs 25,000. For the students who want to study aboard the department will help to obtain loan and also going to provide guarantee on the loan.
He stated that normally the police personnel are not able to provide good education to their wards due to problems like small savings and regular transfers.
