BHOPAL : Miscreants decamped with gold jewellery worth Rs 1.5 lakh and cash Rs 65,000 cash from C Sector Ayodhya Nagar under Ayodhya Nagar police station area on Sunday.

According to the police the victim Ganesh Raikwar along with his family had gone to Indore and on Sunday his neighbours informed him that the locks of his house were broken. On the receipt of the information victim returned and lodged a complaint with the Ayodhya Nagar police regarding the burglary.

In his complaint the victim had claimed that he had gone to Indore along with his family and was informed by his neighbours regarding the broken locks of his house and when he returned he found that the locks were broken and the house was ransacked. Gold jewellery and cash were missing. A pair of gold bangles, a pair of ear rings and four gold finger rings worth Rs 1.5 lakh were found missing.

During the investigation it was found that other valuables were not disturbed and which suggests that the miscreants were aware about the whereabouts of the valuables.

The victim works as a class IV employee of SBI. The police suspects that the acquaintances of the victim have tipped off the miscreants and it is also possible that acquaintances are involved in the burglary.
