Umaria : The Sarpanch, secretary and employment assistant of Gram Panchayat Majhauli Khurd have been found in an investigation to be involved in a salary scam. During various construction works going on in the village, around rupees twenty thousand were withdrawn on the fake names of labors.
Those labourers, on the name of which the salary was withdrawn, never worked there. On receiving a complaint, the collector gave the orders for investigation. According to the sources, Sarpanch Munna Singh along with secretary and employment assistant illegally withdraw the amount through post office on the fake names.
The investigation was done by assistant engineer who found that rupees nine hundred were withdrawn on the names of twenty two labors each who did not even worked there. Collector instructed to recover the last penny from the accused persons.
