Bhopal: TV actor Debina Bonnerjee was in city of lakes to promote ‘Santoshi Maa’ which airs on Monday-Friday at 9:00 PM on &TV.
Talking to media persons on Friday at Courtyard by Marriott, the versatile actress, who will be seen essaying a negative character Devi Paulomi said, “In the past I have portrayed positive and happy characters in the lead. Thus I was initially skeptical about playing a negative force as Devi Paulomi in Santoshi Maa. But later again when I was offered this character I felt that may be this is my destiny and I decided to take up the role. It’s challenging to break away from the positive and convince audiences about your negative streak but I am really excited with this opportunity.
“This is my first visit to Bhopal and I’ve always wanted to visit this beautiful city. It seems like such a charming and historic city and I can’t wait to explore it,” she added.
