BHOPAL: The anticipatory bail application of Congress leader Sanjeev Saxena was rejected on Tuesday. He had moved an application for anticipatory bail in court of ADJ BS Bhadauria who rejected the pleas. Defense is to move to high court changeling ADJ decision. ADJ BS Bhadauria asked the defence what court should call Sajeev Saxena, if not a ‘ broker’. Defence had taken objection to calling Congress leader Sanjeev Saxena a ‘ broker’. STF has made Sajeev Saxena accused in four cases- Police Sub Inspectors recruitment, constable recruitment, Milk Federation, Food inspector recruitment and contractual teacher appointment.
Sanjeev Saxena had contested Vidhan Sabha elections from Bhopal South on Congress ticket in 2013. Sanjeev Saxena’s counsel Rajnish Barraiya argued that it was not justified to call Sanjeev Saxena a ‘ broker’ on the basis of the statement of the co- accused only. He said that money reached through Sanjeev Saxena to system analyst Nitin Mahindra but when the candidate concerned was not selected, the money was returned. So Saxena deserves anticipatory bail”.
