BHOPAL: The first ever ‘‘path sanchalan’’ of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) volunteers in new uniform was taken out in the city from Lal Parade Ground on Sunday. Around 15,000 volunteers of the saffron organisation participated in the ‘path sanchalan’.
After decades the RSS decided to change its uniform, earlier it was half pant and now full trouser have been added in the uniform. RSS Kshetra Sharirik Prashiksnhan Pramukh Praveen Gupta shared his thoughts on terrorism, global recession, global warming and deteriorating health condition.
Former Air Chief Marshal Vinod Kumar Verma added that the army serves at borders safeguarding the nation and the RSS serves in Gali (lane).
“I am impressed by the discipline of the RSS volunteers and in the nation everyone knows their patriotism.”
A number of people’s representatives and other leaders participated in the march including mayor Alok Sharma, MLA Surendra Nath, Vishnu Khatri, MoS for cooperatives Vishwas Sarang, former MLA Bhakt Pal, Ramesh Sharma ‘Guttu Bhaiya’ and others participated in the ‘path sanchalan’.
Former chief minister Babulal Gaur and MP Tourism Development Corporation chairman Tapan Bhowmik were also present at ground.
Gaur informed Free Press that “I am feeling proud wearing the new uniform, every one has to smarten up because we are going to have Smart City”.
Bhowmik added that since 1925 the RSS is taking out the ‘path sanchalan’ every year. This is the first ever Sanchalan in new uniform in Bhopal.
The volunteers of RSS started converging at Lal Parade Ground around 1pm. The ‘‘path sanchalan’’ was taken out from Lal Parade Ground on two different routes around 4.45 pm. The first ‘‘path sanchalan’’ started from Prabandh Dwar of the ground, which marched from Shabban Chauraha, St Francis School Road, Jinsi Police Help Centre, Pul Patra and reached Bharat Talkies Square. Moving ahead from Pul Pukhta Trisection, the march advanced to Lily Talkies Square, PHQ Trisection before entering the ground from Vijay Dwar. The second ‘‘path sanchalan’’ was also started from the ground and passed from Shaurya Dwar and crossed the PHQ Trisection, Lily Square, Pul Pukhta Trisection, Kali Mandir, Talaiya, Budhwara Square, Jain Mandir Road, Mangalwara Trisection, Chhawni Road, and reached Bharat Talkies Square. It returned via Kali Mandir Talaiya Square, Lily Square and entered Lal Parade Ground from Vijay Dwar.
