BHOPAL : The state scenario was discussed at a coordination meeting between Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and BJP here on Saturday. In the meeting, that began at 4 pm and continued till late in the evening, RSS leaders severely rebuked the government and BJP organisation.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, State in-charge Vinay Sahastrabudhey, State President Nandkumar Singh Chauhan and organisational general secretary Arvind Menon attended the meeting. From the RSS side, regional ‘Pracharak’ Arun Jain, Suhas Bhagat, Parag Abhyankar along with other key leaders were present.
Chauhan informed the meeting of the preparations for ‘Simhastha’ and ‘Vaicharik Mahakumbh’. The ‘Vaicharik Mahakumbh’ is being organised in keeping with RSS agenda.
The incidents of communal violence in the state were also discussed. RSS leaders claimed that the government and police were not working properly. RSS leaders said police were filing cases against innocent Hindus which was not proper. RSS leaders also expressed concern over the government taking major decisions without taking them into confidence. They also expressed their annoyance over political appointments and said that people of RSS ideology were not being given proper weight.
The issue of BJP’s weak prospects in Maihar Assembly bye-polls, after defeat in Ratlam Lok Sabha Bye-polls, was also raised in the meeting. Sahastrabudhey pointed out that the situation was not happy in the state. Delay in implementation of suggestions made by RSS was also discussed and Chauhan assured that the complaint would be redressed.
RSS leaders said that the government should stay away from pretentious shows and concentrate on ground level work otherwise the coming elections may become a big challenge for it.
RSS leaders also questioned the working of Ministers.
They said the government should work with commitment for the Sangh ideology. In the meeting concern was expressed on SIMI re-surfacing in Malwa region and the government was urged to take strict action on it.
