Rs 5L jewellery burgled from house of Vyapam accused

BHOPAL: Jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh was burgled from the farm house of a Vyapam accused, who is also a property dealer, at Goregaon area under Ratibad police station area.

According to the police, the complainant Santosh Singh alias Raja Tomar (52) lodged a complaint with the police that in the month of August his wife Anita Tomar went in kitty party and after returning home she kept her gold and diamond jewellery in a box.

Later on August 15, she spotted that the jewellery was missing and when the domestic help and servants expressed ignorance over the whereabouts of the jewelry victim lodged a complaint with the police.  Police have registered a case under section 380 of the IPC on October 17 and have started further investigation.

In-charge of Ratibad police station, Kanchan Rajput said that in the initial investigation police found that the servants and domestic help were aware that the victim had expensive jewelry and used to keep it in a box.

Complainant is property developer and apart from domestic help around 5-6 persons work at the home. The employees who work for the victim in construction and property dealing work are likely to be interrogated.
