Gandhwani : A robbery was reported in the town on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday, when around seven robbers struck at the house of lineman Ramesh Chandra Vyas, situated at Sheetlamata square, at around 3am and took away 1.5 lakh cash and gold and silver jewellery.
The son of Ramesh Chandra lodged the FIR against the unidentified miscreants. Narrating the incident, he said that around seven armed – robbers entered into their house and attacked his parents then they ransacked their house and fled with the jewellery. He said that the robbers attacked his parents with a sharp edge weapon due to which they suffered serious injuries.
He further informed that gold necklace, chain, earrings, rings and around four silver coins were missing from the safe.
This incident has created a sense of insecurity among the residents.
