BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee has termed the suspension of officials in the stampede of Ratangarh temple, Datia as a mere drama to divert people’s attention.

State president Kantilal Bhuria has alleged that the suspension of 21 persons including four officers is simply an act to divert people’s attention from the main issue.

He alleged that chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has become a puppet in the hands of bureaucrats and has no control over the administration. He claimed that bureaucracy has no fear of the government. He said that the government by suspending 17 police personnel for illegally charging money, has admitted that Congress’ charges were right. Bhuria demanded to immediately file criminal case against the guilty officers and arrest them.
