Neemuch : Remember Sholay? Well this can be said something inspired from Sholay, but for a social cause. In Sholay it was against Gaonwalo, but here it is for Goanwalo, that is for the village Suwakheda.

On Wednesday collector Rashmi Singh and a team of administrative officers reached the spot and tried convincing him to come down, which he rejected.

Suwakheda resident Ramniwas Dangi has been standing firm on his protest with regards to the problems faced by his villages for the last five days.

In his own specific manner of protest, he had climbed on a tower, and has been drinking water with the help of a rope, which through capilarisation technique.

He also has been performing his routines from the tower, but by and by his health is depreciating.

Many administrative officers had reached to Suwakheda including Upper Collector PR Katrauliya, Additional Superintendent of Police Pankaj Pandey, Jawad SDM Sen, SDOP Inderjeet Singh Bakarwal, Tehsildar Jagsiah Mehra, TI Piyush Charles, CEO of Jawad Panchayat and other officials went there as a team and tried persuading him promising that soon action will be taken on his demands, but Dangi was reluctant to get down—as he wanted all the demands to be met immediately.

It is to be noted that Dangi had protested in a similar manner the last year too, and climbed on a water tank as well to get his demands fulfilled.
