The state of dilemma in BJP over its candidate from Indore seat still persists. BJP on Wednesday announced its candidates from 4 seats but the candidate from Indore seat was put on hold at the last moment. It was almost sure that ex-chairman of IDA Shankar Lalwani was to get ticket from Indore seat. His name was put on hold as there was no consensus between Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya.
According to sources Mahajan is now working to get ticket for her son Mandar Mahajan. Name of ex-MLA Jitu Jirati, of Vijayvargiya camp, is also doing rounds. Ex-organisational general secretary Krishnamurari Moghe, ex-minister Archana Chitnis, former MLA Gopikrishna Nema and ex-media in charge Govind Malu are also trying their best to get ticket.
BJP;s national organisational general secretary Ramlal has been assigned the task to decide on Indore seat. He will take decision after discussion with all leaders. Congress has fielded Pankaj Sanghvi from Indore seat. With Sanghvi getting ticket, the exercise of deciding party candidate has also gained pace in BJP.
