Rally against academic changes in city colleges

BHOPAL: The students of various colleges in the city took out a rally on Thursday to protest the state government’s decision to stop teaching of different subjects in 7 government colleges of the city. Students of MLB, Nutan, Hamidia, BHEL and Saifia colleges joined the rally. A press note issued by ‘Sarkari College Bachao Sangharsh Samiti’ said that the students wanted to present a memorandum to the CM but they were stopped about two kilometer away from the CM house. They also tried to meet the Chief Secretary but were not given appointment. The press note said that the government move would deprive poor, Dalit, Tribal, minority community and girl students of higher education.
