Mandsaur : Monsoon was very active in the district and the district witnessed heavy rainfall in the last 5 days. Due to which record sowing was done in the district in last 5 days. Sowing on 2,70,000 hectares of land has been completed.
Although, the district has received only a few inches of rainfall as of now and most of the water reservoirs yet dry. However, due to heavy rainfall farmers have done sowing their farms. Sowing of Soya bean has been done on 2.5 lakh hectares of land by Monday. This time farmers have preferred 9560 and 5305 types of Soya bean. This time sowing of seeds have been done after testing its sprouting strength. That’s the reason due to which the crops are looking flourishing in the farms. Farmers have also preferred crops of Moong, Urad and Til this time. Other than that sowing of crops of Maize, Jwar, and Bajra is to be done on 35 hectare of land.
Farmers of Narayangarh, Suwasra, Shaamgarh, and Garod are also planting crops of Orange and other fruits.
