BHOPAL : Private school owners have forged a joint front to oppose the new fee structure for renewal of recognition announced by school education department and MP board of Secondary Education, notwithstanding School Education Minister Paras Jain’s promise them not to hike fee. “Private schools have been asked to pay Rs 2000 for high school and Rs 2200 for higher secondary classes per year and the same amount will be charged as affiliation fee. No such fee was earlier charged from private school,” said Private Schools Association president Ajit Singh.

This year, board and school education have asked private schools to pay double fee for recognition. Singh said the school owners will again meet the minister and if increased fee is not taken back, they will hold sit-in.
