Punjabi youth abducted police arrest one

BHOPAL: A Punjabi youth was abducted by four youths from Shahpura Lake area on Saturday night and taken to MP Nagar. The victim was taken to a restaurant in Govindpura area where the accused beat him up and cut his hair and moustaches. The Govindpura police registered a case against the accused and arrested one accused. Three of them are still absconding. TI Govindpura RK Malviya said the victim Sukhvinder Singh, son of Jaspal Singh, resident of Piplani stated he was abducted from Shahpura lake area on Saturday evening around 8.30 pm by four accused – Gopal Patil, Ravindra Meena, Santosh Medhe and Rahul Chaudhary. The accused were his former friends. “They called him on his mobile and got his location and abducted him,” said his brother. The brother of the accused Jyoti Singh talking to Free Press said that the accused took his brother to MP Nagar where they pointed a gun on him and told him to come with them to Agrawal Hotel in Govindpura. There the accused beat him up and shaved his head and moustache. Accused Patil has previous crime records and was jailed for five years in an attempt to murder case. He is on bail. Ravindra Meena has criminal record.
