BHOPAL : Food and civil supplies team raided both the outlets of Bharti Walmart Private Limited – (Best Price) in the city and seized pulses worth Rs 1.25 crore on Friday. There are two outlets of Best Price-one is located at Bhanpur (Karond) and other is located at Hoshangabad Road.
Inspector Sandeep Bharagava, who led the team that raided Best Price at Bhanpur, said, “We seized 513.26 quintal pulses including 279 quintal (tuar ). Market price of these pulses is Rs 85 lakh. Records were also proper and they also had packets of 1 kg. So it is not clear whether Best Price is wholesale or retail outlet.”
Pratap Singh who led team at Best Price (Hoshangabad Road) said, “We seized pulses of 229.8 quintal including 177 quintal (tuar) pulses. The market price of these pulses is Rs 40 lakh.”
