BHOPAL : BJP MLAs alleged in the state assembly that the private schools were charging exorbitant fees from the students and demanded the constitution of fee regularity body for these schools.
Participating in the discussion on the demands for grants of school education department in the state assembly on Monday one of the BJP MLA demand that ill-equipped rural schools should be shut down and instead bigger schools with more facilities schools, including free transportation should be started in proximate towns. These schools should cater to the needs of the students in a 15 km radius around them. The MLAs raised the issue of students preferring private schools to government ones.
Participating in the debate on school education budget, the BJP MLA, Hemant Khandelwal presented the plan, stating to close off the government schools situated in the villages. He added that the schools are facing shortage of teachers and other facilities.
