JABALPUR : Director General of Police held a meeting with officials at the police control room to chalk out precautionary arrangements for the upcoming festivals, including Navratri, Dussehra, and Muharram. The DGP is also likely to inspect the sensitive areas.
In a bid to strengthen law & order during the upcoming festivals, DGP directed police officer to curb criminal activities in their jurisdictional areas. Criminal activities including theft, teasing and loot etc were also ordered to be curbed while stressing the need to bring the locals’ confidence in police administration. While discussing about precautionary arrangements for the upcoming festivals of two different religions he said that the no laxity should be found in the patrolling of the areas. The officers from different locations were instructed to ensure that the festivals were peacefully celebrated.
Officers including inspector general of Jabalpur zone, IG Rewa, IG Shahdol and the additional superintendents of police along with SP’s were present during the meeting.
