BHOPAL : A four-day solo painting exhibition ‘Krishnayan’ of city-based young amateur artist Charu Pachauri was inaugurated here on Thursday at ICCR Art Gallery in the city.
As many as 20 figurative works of Pachauri are on display here which attracted the art-lovers. Here, the artist painted the portrait of Radha-Krishna in different forms like tribal, miniature, modern, rural and royal using soothing acrylic colours. She also painted Radha-Krishna in Santhal tribal art form of Jharkhand. There is a solo portrait among all the works in which the artist tried to show how music transforms the facial expressions of Lord Krishna.
Besides, in two tribal paintings she has painted tribal dance and animal form. Another work in which she painted the universe including the sun, the moon, planet, sky and earth. A pencil sketch work of Lord Ganesh is also on display which is the artist’s first work.
“Painting is my hobby and I didn’t take any proper training for painting. It is a god gift and I’m associated with it since childhood when I used to make painting for gift. A couple of years ago I noticed that it should be exhibited. This is my one-and-half-year collection,” said Pachauri.
Moreover, the exhibition will remain open till September 27 from 10am to 8pm for visitors.
