Dewas : The first worshipped Lord Ganesh was bid adieu after 10 days long devotional worship with a deep urge to come soon next year.
Due to the Indian dates (Tithi) calculation Anant Chaturdashi began before evening and this commenced the immersion processions in daytime. Various Social Organizations held out procession of the Lord Ganesh idols with bands and dhols while the devotees were chanting slogans loudly. People specially youth and children danced with full zeal and devotion. Laddus and Modaks were distributed as Prasad by the organizations.
Village Kalukhedi was decided as the idols immersion place at first but seeing the water shortage there, devotees reached to Meetha Talab (Sweet pond) and gave farewell to the Lord idols. The city Municipality had facilitated both the Ghats. The idols were being immersed with the help of crane since many people were leaving the idols at the edge due to fear of high depth. Apart from the Meetha Talab , the idols were immersed in Kshipra River as well in good numbers.
President Arjun singh Rawat, Secretary Prashant Sharma, Treasurer Prakash Singh and other officers and advocates also worshipped and immersed the Lord Ganesh idols.
Bank Note Press tableau depicted Lord Krishna dancing on Kaliya Naag and became center of attraction. The tableau was covered with polythene to get it saved from rain. The Municipality tableau showed Seeta abduction, which mesmerized the viewers. Chamunda Mata Standard Mill tableau portrayed Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh’s visit to Mahasati Anusuiya.
The procession started from Mahatma Gandhi Road passing through various roads and reached to Meetha Talab. The full road was facilitated with extra lights. SP Abhay Singh informed that CSP U P S Chauhan, TI Bupendra Singh, Industrial area TI Rajiv Singh Bhadoriya, Bank Note Press Thana In charge R D Mishra and force from police stations have been assigned with the safety task. Skilled swimmers were there to handle odd situations.
