Burhanpur : The city police have busted the murder case of Nirmala Patil. The victim was murdered by a man whom she considered to be her son. According to police, the accused Pandharinath Soma (29) was a son figure for the murdered woman. He owned some money from the victim and was pressurised by her to return it.

The body was found on July 4, 2014 in the jungles of Karoli. According to the police, the accused agricultured the land for the deceased woman and even after selling it he was close to her.  He asked her to come to Karoli Jungle for the money and there he choked her to death.

The police suspected the caller who called her to come to the jungle. With the help of technology they could reach the accused.

The police interrogated the accused lately but he kept on denying about the mobile from which the last call was made. Later on, it was proved that the number belongs to him only and the location of the mobile at the time of murder was of the jungle. The accused has been sent on police remand till August 7 for further interrogations.
