BHOPAL : Six teams formed by ASP Rajesh Singh Bhadauria raided around 17 spots to nab the person who attempted to abduct a 21-year-old engineering student in an auto rickshaw near DRM office on Thursday night.
ASP Rajesh Singh Bhadauria said that six teams led by TIs of various police stations have been formed for the investigation of the case and they raided more than 17 spots in the city to nab the accused. The identity of the accused has been ascertained and he was said to be a history-sheeter of the old city area. However he didn’t disclose the name of the accused.
Police got some significant information from the associate of the accused who was nabbed on Friday and he gave some possible locations of the accused on the basis of which raids were conducted.
ASP Bhadouria said that the accused had tampered the number plate of the vehicle, engine number and chassis number but police was successful in linking it to the accused.
The 21-year-old engineering student hails from Tikamgarh and was currently staying at a hostel in Alkapuri area. On Thursday evening, at around 7.30 pm she was returning her hostel from MP Nagar area walking and was talking to her friend on mobile. When she reached near DRM office she was abducted by an auto driver.
