BHOPAL : Hanumanganj police has swooped down six accused while they were planning to loot at Reliance Petrol Pump at Qazi Camp. They have been identified as Javed, Shohail, Shahzad, Shahwar, Sanjay, and Shahrukh.
On receiving a tip off about some miscreants while they were planning the cops cordoned off the area and detained them. During search of their hideout, police recovered arms including iron rods, swords and lathis from their possession. They confessed, during interrogation, that they had planned to loot the petrol pump.
Earlier, the accused were also involved in vehicle lifting and seventeen vehicles had been recovered by the police from their possession. Eight of the stolen vehicles, they had lifted from Bhopal while other vehicles from near by areas like Vidisha and Sehore.
SP North Arvind Saxena said, “Police had received information about the activities of miscreants who were planning for the loot the Reliance Petrol pump. We cordoned off the area and detained them while they were planning. Police also recovered bikes from them. Arms in large quantity have also been recovered from them.”
