BHOPAL :  A programme ‘Kavita Path (poem recitation) was organised on Wednesday at Bharat Bhawan.  The programme was organised by Spandan to mark the Civil Service Day in association with Bharat Bhawan and MP Sahitya Akademi. City-based administrative officer and noted poets presented their works which was appreciated by literature-lovers.

Tarun Bhatnagar, ex-administrative officer of Bharat Bhawan recited some poems including   ‘Usi Ke Khwab The’ and ‘Beejuka’. The line of poem ‘Usi Ke Khwab The’ is ‘Bas Ek Pagalpan Tha Ki Koi Rang Na Tha, Es Tarah Pani Ko Nadi Hona Tha…’ He also presented some part of his long poems like ‘Wah Ishq Hua’ and ‘Tum Aur Mein’ based on love theme.  He concluded with poem ‘Likhna’.

It is noteworthy here that three story collection, ‘Gulmehndi Ki Jhadiya’, and ‘Jangal Mein Darpan’ and a novel ‘Lauti Nahi Kabhi Hasi’ of Bhatnagar have been published. ‘Jangal Mein Darpan’, published recently, talks about tribal life of Bastar. Bhatnagar who hails from Bastar, Chhattisgarh said, “I start writing from adulthood whenever I see something wrong in the society.”

Besides, poet Madan Mohan Malviya, Ashok Shah Prasanna Das and Gautam Singh also presented their works which enthralled the literature cognoscenti.
