New modus operandi of scamsters comes to light
Bhopal: STF has discovered another modus operandi of the PMT scamsters in PMT scam. Three Vyapam employees, including former examination controller Pankaj Trivedi, filled answer- sheets of selected candidates in later.
The STF arrested general manager of Aurvindu Medical College of Indore as broker in this regard. The Special Task Force of MP police found 23 such cases in PMT 2013 in which the board officials manipulated in results and provided entry to selected candidates in medical colleges, said STF ADG, Sudhir Sahi.
Main accused in the PMT scam, Dr Jagdish Sagar, Sudhir Rai, Santosh Gupta, Pankaj Trivedi, Nitin Mahindra, Ajay Sen, Chandrakant Sharma and Tarang Sharma, Dr Sanjeev Shilpakar and Vikas Singh are on police remand at present. During the interrogation, the board officials revealed the new facts about the scam.
The sources said, they took huge money from the candidates to pass them in pre medical test. OMR sheets of selected candidates were filled later by taking it out from the record under the right to information Act.
The STF said Nitin Mahindra played a major role in this type of modus operandi and collected money from 23 candidates through Indore’s Aurbindu Medical College general manager Pradip Raghuvanshi. He has been arrested and is being interrogated.
The STF ADG said similar modus operandi could have been used in other examinations related with jobs and admission by the board officials.
