Trudging from one place to another capturing life according their understanding of beauty
BHOPAL: Generally people tend to spend their weekends with friends, spending lazy mornings lying in bed till late but now the trend is changing. People are now contended to spend their weekend mornings learning something new. The recent trend among the youth is the craze for photography. And not just photography they also enjoy exploring their skills by conducting and attending photowalks. A photowalk is generally a walk from one place to another or of a particular place, where the photographers capture pictures and life according to either the theme or their understanding of the beauty of the place.
This weekend, two groups conducted photowalk and workshop on photography. Both the programmes were aimed at making the amateur photographers acquaint with the skills of photography.

Girish who is one of the coordinating chiefs of Pixel said, “The photowalk was a huge success and we will hold more such events in coming months. This actually helps the participants to learn technicalities and get practical knowledge at the same time. Also this helps in getting different perspective of the same subject when you are in group and the scope of learning also doubles.”
Photowalk by Pixel, MANIT
Pixel is the photography group of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), which aims to provide a platform to photo enthusiasts and develop and promote photography skills. Pixel organized a photo walk on Saturday at Tribal Museum focusing on teaching students about the techniques of working in low light conditions. Receiving more than 150 registrations the group had to cut short the list and select 50 students for the walk. This was the 15th photowalk conducted by Pixel.
The photographs clicked at the photowalk will be displayed at the bi-annual photography exhibition Kodachrome in the annual tech fest of NIT Bhopal, Technosearch.

“There are many photographers who have wonderful vision about a frame but lack technical knowledge. We through this workshop tried to give that technical knowledge. The participating students were very happy and excited to learn. We will be continuing such workshops at other different colleges so that we can provide knowledge we have and also learn simultaneously. It is open for anyone who wants to learn photography.”

“The experience was amazing. There were a lot of queries from the students, about the cameras to be used and mobile photography, lenses. It is important to know about the basics of photography because then only you can click a perfect picture. For mastering anything, technical knowledge is very important and that is what we are trying to acquaint students here, the basic techniques.”
Photography workshop by IG Bhopal
The photography workshop of Instagram group of Bhopal, IG Bhopal keeps organizing photo walks and heritage walks for photography enthusiasts. This was the first time when they organized a workshop at School of Planning and Architecture on Sunday. With more than 50 participants the workshop was taken by Rohit Yadav and Anand Singh, who taught the basics of photography. Covering topics like framing and composition, lights, shutter speed, iso etc.
