BHOPAL : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that houses for all was the government’s objective.
The state government is allotting plots of land on which houses will be constructed. He said that housing schemes for public representatives is also a laudable initiative.
Chouhan was addressing the foundation laying ceremony of MPs and MLAs housing project Rachna Towers here today.
The Chief Minister said that the way public representatives’ lives are projected is not true.
Their powers and achievements are discussed, but their hard work and dedications is not highlighted. It is unimaginable as to how much hard work public representatives undertake for public welfare day in and day out. Due to this, their personal life comes to a naught. The Chief Minister said that it is highly painful that there are some public representatives that when they retire even facilities of treatment become difficult for them. Life becomes a burden. Through this project, public representatives will get a good accommodation at Bhopal. It is very pleasant that land for the project has not been developed by displacing others’ houses, but through better rehabilitation. He said that the project, which was pending for long, should now be completed within prescribed time-limit.
Vidhan Sabha Principal Secretary A.P. Singh informed that 8 towers of 10 storeys each will be constructed.
