Petlawad : Indore Lok Ayukta police snatched mask from face of a corrupt patwari posted at Petlawad tehsil of Jhabua district.
In a trap laid by the Lok Ayukta police, a patwari of Petlawad was caught accepting Rs 4000 as a bribe in his office on Saturday.
As per the received information, patwari Shyamlal Padada (48) had allegedly demanded Rs 4000 from the complainant Ranchod Teli of Sarangi village for issuing NOC of land, as he wanted to purchase the land. To this, the Teli reached the office of Lok Ayukta police and lodged a complaint against Shyamlal.
The Lok Ayukta sleuths laid a trap to nab the corrupt patwari.
They sent Shyamlal with Rs 4000 to the patwari’s office and as he accepted the amount from him, the police caught him red-handed.
A case under Sections 7, 13(1)d, 13(2) of Prevention for Corruption Act-1988 was registered against the accused.
