BHOPAL : Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sushma Swaraj has announced that a Passport office would be established at Indore. She said that it would save the people of Indore from the inconvenience of traveling to Bhopal for their passport related work.
Sushma Swaraj, laying the foundation stone of the new building of Passport Office in Bhopal here on Tuesday, said that she received maximum complaints related to making of passports when she assumed the charge of Foreign Affairs Minister.
She said that a campaign to dispose off pending applications was launched across the country. She said that earlier people used to get appointments from Passport Office after 48 days of filing application but it has now reduced to merely 3 days. She said that new Passport office building would be ready in two years.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that Swaraj is realising the ‘Make in India’ dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chauhan said that the state has got several gifts with Swaraj being MP from Vidisha.
