Dhar : The reality of tall claims of central government’s Jan-Dhan Yojna could be understood by the fact that the participants of recently concluded Mandu Utsav did not get their payments as none of them has bank accounts.
The startling matter surfaced when the officials from local district administration asked to provide details of bank accounts from as many as 20 tribal including men and women. These tribal groups had performed folk dance during five day long Mandu Utsav organised to promote tourism.
They were invited from remote villages of nearby Kukshi tehsil to perform folk dance from December 17 to December 21.
Ironically, the concerned officials even did not bother to gather details of bank accounts prior to conclusion of the mega event which caused much inconvenience to the tribal participant. After the matter was surfaced collector washed her hands by issuing notices to concerned officials but remained busy in meeting from 11 am to 4 pm when these women reached to meet her on Monday forcing them to return empty handed.
This is not the first time that people coming with their problems could not meet the collector Jayshri Kiyawat as she often remain busy in marathon meetings with subordinate staff, source claimed.
Several cases of PMRY for providing self employment to youths have been pending at collector office since July month.
District Industrial Centre General Manager Arun Rane told Free Press- the files for Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Yojna are awaiting for signature at collector officer.
