BHOPAL: The team of the Food and Drugs Administration department seized a truck carrying suspicious Mawa and Paneer brought to the city from Gwalior near Lambakheda. The FDA officials had got a tip off from an informer on phone about the delivery of the materials in the city.
Food Inspector BS Dhakad said that he along with his team seized around 90 baskets of Mawa, said to be worth around Rs 5.5 Lakh and 25 baskets of Paneer said to be worth around Rs 1 Lakh. The paneer weighed around 3.75 quintals and the mawa weighed around 27 quintals. Sampling officials of the department were present along with the team.
He said that the suspicious articles were to be delivered to dealers of the city Mushtaq Khan and Manoj Sahu. Both the dealers supply mawa and paneer in the dairies of the city and nearby areas.
