BHOPAL: Ravindra Pastor, commissioner of Ujjain inaugurated a two-day All-India conclave “Coalescence 2016″at IIFM campus on Saturday. The theme of the event was “Business, climate change and society: Bridging the sustainability divide”. Professor A.K Dharni gave the welcome speech. Pastor provided insights into rural entrepreneurship and hidden opportunities in rural markets. He told students how the government is helping entrepreneurs, which is creating a favourable environment for start-ups in the country.
The inaugural session was followed by technical session wherein Amit Jain, co-founder and CEO of Health Point Services and an alumnus of IIFM addressed the students and discussed social entrepreneurship. He cited various innovative models and suggested to the students to think out of box. It was followed by a talk by Rohini Chaturvedi, Strategy Head, World Resources Institute discussed about the landscape restoration and various projects that she carries out spanned diverse environmental issues.
