BHOPAL : Regional offices of universities should be opened in the lead colleges in the areas under their jurisdiction by June 2015. Strict action should be taken against the professors refusing to set papers and evaluate copies.
Higher Education Minister Uma Shankar Gupta gave these directives at a meeting of universities’ vice- chancellors here on Wednesday. Minister of State for Higher Education Deepak Joshi said that assistant/ deputy registrars should be deputed to monitor regional offices.
The Higher Education Minister directed to recruit against vacancies of teaching and non- teaching staff in universities within timelimit.
Vice- chancellors informed that process is on. He said that posts should be rationalised subject- wise.
The Minister said that all faculties should send information about researches and research papers to the government.
