BHOPAL : The onset of winter is likely from the middle of November. However, temperature will start falling from November 5 and till than it will gradually increase. Night temperature is likely to be round 16 degree Celsius in the state capital.
The trend of increase in day temperature will prevail in the first week of November and then temperature will start reducing gradually. People will start feeling cold from the middle of November.
A couple of days ago, the weather had turned chilli as wind pattern was set northerly-westerly in Madhya Pradesh and people had started putting on woollens but just after two days, mercury picked up.
Bhopal recorded a maximum temperature of 28.2 degree Celsius which was 3 degree Celsius below normal while it recorded a minimum temperature of 15.8 degree Celsius which was one degree Celsius below normal. On Friday, the day temperature was 25.9 degree Celsius and night temperature was 18.8 degree Celsius.
Director Meteorological department Dr Anupam Kashyapi said, “The onset of winter is likely from the middle of November but temperature will start reducing from the first week and will then rise”
Two days chill was just because of rain activities due to western disturbance. But it was not due to onset of winter. It was temporary phenomena in Madhya Pradesh, Dr Kashyapi added.
