BHOPAL: The state government, which advocates of giving reservation to women in every sector, seems to be not doing justice with woman officers as far as administration is concerned. There are 51 districts across the state but only 5 districts have woman collectors which is less than 10 per cent. In the transfer list issued on Thurday, Jaishree Kiyawat has been made collector of Dhar district, Aruna Gupta as collector Alirajpur, Irene Cynthia as collector Burhanpur, Shilpa Gupta as collector Morena and Chavi Bharadwaj has been placed as collector Dindori. The schemes like Ladli Laxmi Yojana and Beti Bachao Abhiyaan are being launched in the state to promote girl child but as far as administrative postings are concerned, male officers seem to be getting preference. Another interesting fact is that these woman collectors are posted in districts which are small while their male counterparts are posted in districts considered important.
