BHOPAL : Bharatiya Janata Party National Vice-President Shyam Jaaju, addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, alleged that the Congress, which demanded a CBI probe into Vyapam scam, is now going to question the working of CBI.
Jaaju said investigations into Vyapam scam were going in the right direction but the decision for a CBI probe was taken to honour public opinion. He said there was no compulsion for a CBI probe and the government also wants that the probe should be transparent. Jaaju alleged that the CBI had lost credibility during Congress’ regime.
Speaking in support of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Jaaju said it was Chauhan who had initiated probe into Vyapam scam and now he has again initiated for CBI probe. Commenting on the questions related to former BJP Organisation General Secretary Sanjay Joshi, Jaaju said RSS has relieved Joshi long back from the post of ‘Pracharak’. He said Vyapam scam will have no impact on ‘Mahajansampark Abhiyaan’ in the state. He said the achievements of Central and state government would be communicated to the public during this campaign.
