small parties to contest against Cong-BSP alliance
‘Election Manthan at CM House continued till 2 am’
BHOPAL : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) too will contact small parties to lessen the possible impact of a possible poll alliance between Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). It was decided in a meeting of key leaders of the BJP held at CM House on Friday.
The rallies of PM Narendra Modi and tour itineraries of BJP national president Amit Shah were discussed in the meeting that lasted up to 2 am.
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed the party leaders about the rising popularity of Jai Adivasi Yuva Sangathan (JAYS) in state’s tribal areas.
He had met JAYS leaders and had invited them to join BJP. According to sources, JAYS president Hira Alawa has been offered a party ticket.
He told the BJP leaders that possibility of alliance with Gondwana Gantantra Party (GGP) and Bahujan Sangharsh Dal (BSD) is also being explored.
Chouhan’s jan ashirwaad yatra was also discussed in the meeting. In order to convert the mass support during the Yatra into votes, it was suggested to get other leaders conduct tours in areas covered by yatra. Central leaders of the party will also be invited to tour big cities during the yatra.
Shah would start his intensive state-tour from September. The publicity campaign would be inaugurated by Modi on the conclusion of the yatra on September 25.
