BHOPAL: A 65-year-old man working as a watchman in a pump house was found murdered at Barbatta Patra Nullah area near Fatehpur village within the limits of Sukhisewania police station on Tuesday morning. SP North Arvind Saxena along with Sukhisewania police reached the spot and investigated the crime scene. Later a case was registered against the unidentified accused following the complaint of the son of the deceased and the body was sent for post-mortem examinations. SP Saxena talking to Free Press said that the deceased Chuttan Khan, 65, son of Peer Ali, resident of Fatehpur village started working as a watchman at Ashok Jain’s pump house located at Patra Nullah at Bartbatta around a week ago. His son Bablu used to bring food for him every morning and evening. On Tuesday morning around 8 am when Bablu went to give him food he found that his father’s body was lying on the ground. The cot on which he used to sleep was broken. The injury on head which proved to be fatal seemed to be made from a heavy sharp edged weapon. He informed the police following which the police reached the spot.
The axe of the watchman which he might have kept for his security was found lying near his body. SP said that prima facie the motive of the murder does not seem to be burglary as nothing was found missing from the spot.
