BHOPAL : The Leader of Opposition in the Vidhan Sabha, Satyadev Katare, while interacting with the media at his residence on Wednesday, said that he was not satisfied with the newly-constituted Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC). However, whenever new faces are given a chance and some leaders are dropped, they protest. The protest is nothing new and Congress will manage and handle it. It is Congress’ internal mater, Katare added.

Senior leaders like Aslam Sher Khan, Arif Aqueel and Jyotiraditya Scindia have already expressed their dissatisfaction over the new Pradesh Congress committee. Now leader of Opposition Satyadev Katare has joined their ranks.

Aslam Sher Khan with his supporters had demonstrated at Jawahar Bhavan (Roshanpura) in protest against constitution of the new PCC. Even PCC chief Arun Yadav’s effigy was burnt.

Commenting on the central government’s decision to discontinue stamps on Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, Katare said, “The Congress will protest if the decision is not withdrawn discontinue stamps of former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi under the definitive series.” Katare said, “It is a sinister attempt to erase the memory of the two martyred Prime Ministers of the country. The distastefully brazen manner in which the government has decided to discontinue the postal stamps depicts that hatred of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government in seeking personal vendetta has reached its zenith.”
