NARSINGHPUR/BEGUMGANJ: The board of secondary education Madhya Pradesh declared the results of class 12 and class 10 on Thursday. Narsinghpur district got the sixth position in the state with 78.51 per cent result in class 12. Whereas the district stepped to eighth position in class 10 results with 58.82 percent result. Two students each from class 10 and class 12 brought recognition to the district successfully registering their names in the state level merit list.
Abha Dubey, daughter of Dinesh Dubey, student of Devmurlidhar School Gotegaon, acquired the ninth position in the state merit list by securing 479 marks in maths-science stream. Ravi Vishwakarma, son of Rajesh Kumar Vishwakarma, student of Narsingh Public School Narsinghpur, got tenth position in state level merit by securing 470 marks in bio-science stream.
Whereas Shubham Kourav, son of Raghvendra Kourav, registered his name on sixth position in state level class 10 merit list by securing 582 marks. Shivani Upmanyu, daughter of Rajkumar Upmanyu, of School of Excellence secured 579 marks and got eighth position.
Ten students successfully registered their names in the district merit list of class 12. In arts stream Bhagyashri, daughter of Munshilal, of Government Higher Secondary School Dobhi secured 429 marks and got first position. On second position came Rashmi Verma, daughter of Puranlal Verma, of Government Girls Senior Secondary School Salichowka who secured 422 marks.
In the maths science stream Kaushalendra Garhwal, son of Ghanshyamdas Agrawal, from exam centre Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls’ School Narsinghpur acquired first position by securing 482 marks. Neeraj Mehra, son of Kamal Singh Mehra, got the second position by securing 477 marks. Third position was taken over by Atal Agrawal, son of Shravan Kumar, who secured 476 marks. Amit Kumar Kourav, son of Raghvendra Kourav, of Dr KL Papneja School Kareli secured 474 marks and got fourth position.
In the commerce group Ruchi Dubey, daughter of Narayan Prasad Dubey of Saraswati Higher Secondary School got first position with 447 marks. Nikhil Rajput, son of Amol Singh Rajput, came second with 445 marks. In the agriculture group Varsha, daughter of JP Dubey acquired position with 443 marks. In the home science group Rukmani Dhanak, daughter of Rajaram Dhanak, got first position with 402 marks.
The district merit list for class 10 is as follows, Nikhil Patel, son of Ramraj Patel, got first position by securing 573 marks. Abhay Jain, son of Naresh Kumar Jain, of Higher Secondary School Barahbada, acquired second position by securing 572 marks.
The third position was held by two students jointly by securing 571 marks, namely Shikha Sharma, daughter of Baliram Sharma, Saraswati School Narsinghpur and Aditi Soni, daughter of Santosh Soni, Nupoor Convent School Gadarvara. The Class 10 results of the School of Excellence proved to be disappointing. Out of the 96 students enrolled in the school 95 took the exam from which merely 19 students were declared pass.
The parents of the students were enraged seeing the result and they accused the teachers of negligence. In Begumganj, Divya Singh Rajput, daughter of Dilip Singh Rajput, student of government senior secondary school Sultanganj, grabbed second position in district merit list by securing 92.6 per cent.
