BHOPAL : A function to felicitate Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for the crop insurance scheme floated by the Government of India, has been rescheduled. The programme would now be organised on February 18 in place of February 14.
On Saturday, a farmers’ seminar was planned to be organised on February 14. However, the PMO changed the date to February 18 on Sunday in view of other engagements of PM Modi.
State president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Nandkumar Singh Chauhan said lakhs of farmers from across the state would participate in the seminar. The BJP is going to hold a meeting on February 4 to plan the large scale arrangements for the farmers seminar of February 18. The responsibilities would be assigned to different leaders after discussion on preparations. The grand scale meeting would take place from 11am on Thursday at the State BJP Office in which chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan would provide guidance to farmers.
The state office-bearers of the BJP, district presidents, MPs, MLAs, Zilla Panchayat chairpersons, chairpersons of district cooperative banks, state office-bearers of farmers’ wing, Krishi Upaj Mandi Samitis chairpersons, divisional organisational secretaries and senior leaders would participate in the meeting on February 4.
