BHOPAL : As many as two dozen students of a government college were injured, two of them seriously in a clash between two groups in the state capital, Jehangirabad police said on Monday. The college where incident took place is located merely 100 meters away from the police control room.
CSP Jehangirabad Saleem Khan told, “Around 12:30 pm a clash took place between junior and senior students of Motilal Vigyan Mahavidhyalaya (MVM) inside classroom over a petty dispute which was pacified after the intervention of the college management”.
“However, after few hours again dispute broke out among them after which the staff and faculty of college took them to principal’s cabin where in-charge principal of college VK Punvatkar sought explanation from them. However, a fight again broke out between them and it turned bloody this time”, added CSP Khan.
The way with which the victims were hit by accused students with tube lights on their heads suggested that they were not in the mood to spare the victims even in the presence of principal and other faculty members.
Meanwhile when the agitated students started creating ruckus inside cabin of principal and broke furniture and glass panes of the chamber, police were informed about the incident subsequent to which Dial 100 and police personnel from nearby police station rushed the spot and pacified the situation while the two students-Deepak Pandey and Anup Dangi who were critically injured has been admitted at the hospital. MVM College in-charge principal VK Punvatkar told that the accused will not be spared and they should be given severe punishment setting an example that for the students that they are here for studies not for bullying and assaulting other students.
