Muslims urge Gaur to ensure peace during Namaz at Dhar

BHOPAL :  A delegation of Muslim clerics led by Congress leader Arif Masood called on home minister Babulal Gaur and asked him to ensure for peaceful Namaz at Bhojshala, Dhar on February 12. Gaur assured the Muslims clerics that he would direct the DGP to make arrangement for offering Namaz at Bhojshala.

Masood, while talking to Free Press, said, “Muslims will offer Namaz on February 12 and the festival of Basant Panchami will be celebrated on February 13.

But the saffron outfits have announced to celebrate Basant Panchami on the same day when we want to offer Namaz. So we called on home minister Babulal Gaur demanding arrangement for peaceful Namaz at Dhar.”

There were several incidents happened in the recent past which show that some elements are trying to disturb the communal harmony in the state, Masood said, adding, “Sensing the gravity of the situation, we called on Gaur who assured us of making all arrangements maintaining law and order situation for peaceful Namaz at Bhojshala.”
